Black Market Crash is a five piece pUnK rOCk and ska pUnK band out of Geneva, Switzerland. Originally known as Tastes Like Chicken, they decided to change their name after two albums cause people tended to be misled and think they were a fun pUnK / party-celebratory ska combo, which (unfortunately) they are not. In fact, there's no brass section in Black Market Crash... and the lyrics don't deal with Skankin Pickles, Aquabats or dancing elephants called Nellie... not even with chickens or animals of any kind. It was time for a change cos' concert goers were leaving the venues very disappointed and feeling cheated after the shows... Formed in 1999, the band has recorded 3 albums and toured many European countries (Switzerland, France, Austria, Germany, etc...) opening or playing with bands such as Anti-Flag, Good Riddance, Satanic Surfers, Youth Brigade, Sham 69, Death By Stereo, Shelter, Randy and many more... In 2004, Justin Sane from Anti-Flag chose the track 'No Motivation' to include it in the AF Records compilation 'Fueling the Flames of Revolution # 3', being the first "official" appearance for the band as Black Market Crash... These days, Black Market Crash is releasing 'Broken Ballads', their "third" full length, on 'Bleak and Blue' records. 15 new cuts of fiery and angst-ridden pUnK rOCk and ska pUnK with crunchy riffs and catchy melodies.
